AUV Communication & Navigation Kit
DVL-600K / DVL-300K & UAM-08160X Series
To meet the demanding requirements of Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUVs) for high-precision navigation and reliable communication, we offer the AUV Communication & Navigation Kit. This solution integrates the Doppler Velocity Log (DVL) with the Underwater Acoustic Modem (UAM) system, providing a comprehensive package for scientific research, underwater inspection, and long-range operations.
Working Principle
The UAM-16320X-II2S underwater acoustic modem operates by converting electrical signals into acoustic waves for data transmission through water. Using advanced digital signal processing and dual-mode modulation (MASS / SC-MPSK), it ensures stable and efficient underwater communication over long distances with a low bit error rate (BER 10⁻⁴).
During operation, the transducer emits precisely coded acoustic pulses that propagate through the water and are received by another modem, where they are demodulated and decoded back into digital data. The system automatically switches between transmit and receive modes under command control, optimizing power consumption while maintaining high communication reliability in complex underwater environments.
