Piston-type 4-Beam Doppler Velocity Log 600kHz
The DVL‑600K Doppler Velocity Log measures high‑precision motion velocity of the platform relative to the seabed. When integrated with a gyrocompass or inertial navigation system (INS), it forms an autonomous navigation system for control and high‑accuracy navigation of surface vessels, underwater tow‑bodies, AUVs and UUVs.
Tailored for compact lightweight underwater vehicles, it is optimized for water depths up to 100 m and near‑bottom precision operations. It delivers steady bottom‑lock performance for close‑seabed inspection tasks on small‑form‑factor subsea platforms.
The device supports an optional current‑profiling function to measure flow‑field profiles in the surrounding area. It enables underway observation along the carrier’s navigation track, as well as fixed‑point flow‑field observation deployed on submersible moorings and buoys.

Working Principle
Adopts 4‑beam Janus‑configuration Doppler acoustic measurement. Four tilted beams transmit acoustic pulses; Doppler shift of seabed echoes computes 3‑axis velocity and altitude above seafloor. When bottom‑lock is out of range, water‑tracking mode gives velocity relative to water column as fallback navigation source. Output velocity data is fused with inertial navigation system for subsea dead‑reckoning positioning.
